Begin Your Weight Loss Now – Taking the (Die) out of Diet

Why I started this blog.

I believe that losing weight is about becoming healthy and the by-product is losing weight. When someone says they are on a diet it is always said as a negative thing and this is where  the problem begins, this is why so many people fail at dieting. Lets face it the word diet begins with (die) and how positive is that?

Is failure a bad thing when it comes to weight loss, the answer is NO! There are so many ways to lose weight and you must find the way that works for you.

I enjoy motivational quotes and have found they help me feel better. So here is a quote about failure that is important to know:

I also believe it does not have to cost a lot of money to be healthy and lose weight . We all know the basics, watch what and how much you eat and exercise. We all want to eat what we want, exercise as little as possible and look like super models (fat chance ;-) ). You have to do some exercise to be healthy, find something that is easy to do like walking which is excellent and free!  I was a lot thinner before I bought a car.

Some things to know about me. I am in my late 40’s. I have like a lot of women my age experienced times when I have dieted to lose weight. I have personally developed habits that have resulted in me maintaining my current size (6) and a healthy weight in range of my height which is 5′4″ for the last 5 years. I am asked all the time how I stay thin, the answer is developing healthy habits which overide the bad ones, the quote below says it all.

I am a research junkie. I love finding interesting web, newspaper and magazine articles.  Just today I saw a Time magazine cover with ” The Exercise Myth” on the cover. With healthcare being a national subject now is the time for all of us to take a serious look at our health. I will start this blog with some of the reasons why so many fail at dieting.
